Woodbridge Antiques has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
The maker's mark is also visible (slightly rubbed) for the silversmith Crisford & Norris. There is also a patent registration number: Rd 535766. The Lion Passant mark is also visible on two of the wheels (front and back).

A superb and very collectable item due to its rarity.
Condition: In great antique collector's condition. (There are some small dings around the top of the boot just below where the cushion fits in and some very minor indentations on the body of the boot, hardly noticeable, mentioned for accuracy only - see images).
Hallmarks & Maker's marks: Birmingham 1908 by Crisford & Norris.
