Description

A superb quality Victorian silver four section cigar case or box beautifully engraved with floral leaves and scrolls with engraved cartouche. The case is spring loaded opening to reveal a gilt interior. Fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1894 by Hilliard Thomason. The cartouche has been engraved : ‘Presented to W H Holden by the Theatre Staff, Stockton 14th September 1901’. We could arrange for the inscription to be removed by a silversmith if desired for a modest sum.

In beautiful condition throughout, hallmarks sharp and clear.
