Description

A quality George III silver teapot, by William & Patrick Cunningham, hallmarked Edinburgh 1802. A well proportioned teapot of typical form? With hinged lid, engraved with Greek key pattern, stepped down the main body with ornately engraved border with cartouches to the centre section on both sides, one side engraved with initials, the other vacant. The same Greek key border is featured to the oval base. Hallmarked to the underside, all clear and present.

Overall in very good condition, with done signs of use, there is a dent to the spout as illustrated, although not noticeable when on display due to location of the dent. It weighs a good 487 grams.
