This is a hallmarked sterling silver cigarette case. It was assayed in Birmingham in 1954, and made by W H Manton Ltd. It was retailed by W Greenwood & Sons of Leeds, and bears their stamp. It is hallmarked to all three parts.
The exterior of the case has engine turned decoration, while the interior is gilded. It has not been monogrammed or inscribed.
The hinge and clasp work well and it is in good gereral condition, apart from some stubborn tarnishing.
It weighs 156g (5.04 ozt) gross.
