The inside of the case is lined with a blue velvet material. A chain is fixed for attachment. To the underneath are the clear hallmarks for the Chester Assay Office with a date mark for 1902 and Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver and maker's marks for the renowned silversmith Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders & James Francis Hollings Shepherd.
