Silver Ecclesiastical Sacramental Oil Pot London 1937

1920 - 1940
Description

A very fine, solid silver ecclesiastical sacramental oil pot in lovely condition. The pot is a plain polished silver with a ribbed border around the rim of the lid. The top is engraved with the letter 'I'. The lid pulls off to reveal a gilded interior. Clear hallmarks are visible on the base of the pot for the London Assay Office with a date mark for 1937 and maker's mark: Burns, Oats & Washbourne Ltd. The hallmarks are also clearly visible on the underneath of the lid

 

Condition: In lovely antique condition.
