A Rare Newcastle Silver Fiddle, Thread & Shell Basting Spoon

A rare silver stuffing or basting spoon from the sought after Newcastle Assay Office. This wonderful and unusual example is in the sought after Fiddle, thread & shell pattern, not usually found assayed in Newcastle. It has no crests or armorials and although single struck (pattern to front only), it has a shell to the reverse of the shank . Spoons from this Office and in this desirable pattern are always in great demand due to their scarcity. Dimensions below.
