Description

An Antique George III Sterling silver swing handled basket which is rectangular in shape with a plain body, attractive gadroon decoration around the border with fruit detailing, a swing handle with similar decoration and resting on a raised pedestal foot. This fine silver basket would make an ideal table feature and would be perfect to use . It was hallmarked in Sheffield for 1817 by Roberts and Cadman and is still in excellent condition. It weighs 31.50 Troy ounces ( 979 grams ).
