Antique Victorian Sterling Silver Visiting Card Case

An Antique Victorian Sterling silver visiting card case which is unusual in shape with pretty detailing to the body depicting flowers, leaves and swirls. It has a hinged lid and a vacant cartouche on one side of the body. This silver card case would make a perfect addition to a collection. It was hallmarked in Birmingham for 1872 by Robert Thornton and is excellent condition. It weighs 2.90 Troy ounces ( 90.20 grams ).
