Rare Stanley Webb Davies Stool - Dated 1949

This rare solid chestnut and leather stool is made, signed and dated by the Lake District maker, Stanley Webb Davies. He was one of Britain's leading makers of Arts and Crafts furniture from his workshop in Windermere in the Lake District. This lovely Davies stool features peirced carved designs to each side and a original slung brown leather seat. In the original finish, excellent condition, signed by Stanley Webb Davies and dated 1949. Today, many works by Stanley Webb Davies are held in museums and grand houses, churches and galleries.
