This is a Victorian hallmarked sterling silver salver. It was assayed in London in 1893 and made by Charles Boyton (II). It has a beaded and gadrooned border and is raised on three cast ball and claw supports. The salver is engraved to the centre with the crest of the Chilcott family of Gwendrock House, Truro, Cornwall.The edge of the salver is bucked in most areas, particularly above the three supports, which are all bent inwards. There are marks to the surface consistent with a piece of silverware of this age.It weighs 210g (6.78 t oz).All items come with free shipping throughout the UK.
