Rare Pair of Scottish Provincial Silver Ladles Aberdeen 1824 - 1891

Description

A first rate and very rare pair of splendid, early Scottish provincial solid silver Ladles. The ladles are a lovely plain polished silver with an unusual engraved armorial to the top of the handle featuring a snake encompassing a fleur de lis. The back of each terminal bears the very clear silver maker's mark for Rettie Middleton & Son Aberdeen 1824 - 91.

A lovely pair of Ladles.

  

Condition: In antique collector's condition.

  

Makers mark: Rettie Middleton & Son, Aberdeen (1824 - 1891)

  

Measurements:

Length of each Ladle: 16.3 cm approx.
