Antique Edwardian Solid Silver Jewellery Box Or Casket

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: The Silver Cabinet

This is lovely! An antique, solid sterling silver jewellery or trinket casket.

It is clearly hallmarked for Birmingham 1908, with the maker''s mark of Philip Hanson Abbot cast over a mark for Charles S Green & Co Ltd. There are partial hallmarks on the lid. The box is completely plain and stands on four decorative feet. The gilding inside is in excellent condition. There are a few small dings on the body of the casket, but nothing that wouldn''t be expected from an item well over 100 years old.
