This is a lovely example of an antique solid sterling silver hot water jug.

Amidst the decoration are the hallmarks for London 1880 and the maker's mark of Frederick Brasted. The wooden handle is well-attached, the hinge is good and the lid carries partial hallmarks. The intricate pattern covers the entire jug apart from the circular pedestal base, which features 4 perforated flowers. Gorgeous!
