Antique Solid Silver Trinket Box

1900 - 1920
Description

This is a very pretty trinket box, created by the famous firm of Mappin & Webb Ltd.

It is clearly hallmarked for Birmingham 1911 on the base, with a partial hallmark on the inside of the lid rim. The lid has intricate silver pique work and the hinge is tight. The interior looks to be original and is a deep purple velvet.

Diameter: 6cm

Height: 3.5cm.
