Edwardian Stamp Silver & Glass Roller Birmingham 1903

A most attractive silver and glass Stamp Roller. The Roller Tray is heavy glass and is set inside a beautifully embossed silver tray decorated with pretty flowers and foliage. The base of the glass has a lovely diamond pattern. The Glass Roller sits neatly inside and works well (it has been very slightly ground at one end, however, still works perfectly well).

Clear hallmarks are visible to one side of the silver tray for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1903 and Lion Passant indicating sterling silver. The maker's mark is also clear: Arthur Willmore Pennington.

A lovely item for a collector.

 

Condition: The silver and glass tray is in great antique condition (The glass roller is very slightly ground on one end, however, still works perfectly well and is mentioned for accuracy only).
