Woodbridge Antiques has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
The inside of the Egg Cup has a lovely gilt finish in a deep yellow colour. Very clear hallmarks are visible on one side for the Sheffield Assay office with silver maker's mark Martin, Hall & Co (Richard Martin & Ebenezer Hall). The Egg Cup has a date mark for 1909 and the spoon for 1910. The spoon is also a plain polished silver with full hallmarks to the back of the spoon terminal.

The items come in a lovely original leatherette presentation case with a lovely royal blue interior.
A superb set would be the perfect gift for a new baby or Christening gift. splendid unusual design.

Condition: Both the Egg Cup and the spoon are in lovely antique collector's condition.
