Description

A superb solid, heavy gauge silver vesta case of unusual shape. The Vesta is decorated with a floral pattern and a nice empty shield shaped cartouch in the centre. There is an attractive protruding ridge that runs down the centre. The lid opens nicely where clear hallmarks are visible on the lip for the Birmingham Assay office with a date mark for 1902 and Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver and the maker's marks WWH for William Hair Haseler.
