Beautiful Edwardian Paste Set Silver Locket and Chain

1900 - 1920
Description

A beautiful Edwardian silver locket and chain. The oval shaped locket is surrounded with very pretty paste stones. There is a bow design to the top also set with the paste stones. The locket is open faced with space for a photograph or sentiment to both the front and the back, and is covered with glass to both sides. The locket is opened at the back where the framed glass is hinged (see images).

Iconic Edwardian design - very pretty! A rare item!

The locket is not marked but has been tested for Silver.

 

Condition: In lovely antique condition.

 

Measurements:

Height including bow at top: 2.8 cm approx.

Width: 2 cm approx.

Depth: 5.5 cm approx.

Length of chain: 52 cm approx.

Weight: 9.8 grams approx.
