Georgian Solid Silver Pap Boat

18th century
Description

An excellent example of a solid sterling silver pap boat.

It is clearly hallmarked at the back for London 1796, with the maker's mark of Thomas Wallis II superimposed over mark for Samuel Godbehere & Edward Wigan.

There are italicised initials tucked under the spout. In terms of design, it is classically plain with a ribboned edging. There are surface abrasions and slight dimpling here are there, but nothing that wouldn't be expected from an item which was used over 200 years ago.

Dimensions:

Length: 12.5cm

Width: 7cm

Weight: 52g

Post and packaging are free within the UK via Royal Mail special delivery. Overseas buyers please e-mail for postage costs. Thank you.
