A Late Victorian Silver Tea Caddy

A late Victorian silver tea caddy of plain oval bombée form, with a hinged lid with an ivory knob, opening to reveal a hand raised (planished) interior. Hallmarked for London 1895, by Alexander Clark.
 
Weight (gross) 3.46 Troy ounces (108 grammes), height 4” (10 cm)
 
Alexander Clark manufactured a wide variety of quality silverware and retailed it at premises in Fenchurch Street, London EC.
 
Condition: Overall good, the hinge is solid and the knob without cracks. The hallmarks on the body are somewhat worn but legible; the part-marks inside the lid are clear.
