Fine Sterling Silver Porringer Sheffield 1926

A very fine, solid sterling silver Porringer. Nicely designed, this Porringer is a lovely simple organic shape. The body is plain polished silver with no engraving or embossing and has a neat row of circular bands around the top rim, with two stylish handles to either side.

Very clear and crisp hallmarks are visible on one side for the Sheffield Assay Office along with the Lion Passant indicating sterling silver and a date mark for 1926. The maker's mark is also clearly visible for 'AW JH'.

 

A lovely item in antique collector's condition.
