Rare Edwardian Silver Fob Whistle Birmingham 1905

1900 - 1920
Description

A truly stunning Edwardian, solid silver Fob Whistle. Beautifully engraved with a lovely swirling pattern, the Whistle bears clear and crisp hallmarks on the back for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1905 and Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver. The silver maker's mark is also visible for William Vale & Sons. There is a loop at one end of the Whistle for attachment.

 

A lovely rare item in great antique collector's condition.

Length of whistle including loop 4.5 cm approx.
