A very fine, good solid, silver handled Letter Opener in a lovely classic style. The handsome handle is fully hallmarked on one side for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1960 and Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver. The maker's mark is also clear and crisp for the silvermaker: Elkington & Co Ltd.

Lovely item, and a good heavy gauge, very functional as well as handsome.

Conditon: In great vintage condition.
