Description

A handsome solid silver Matchbook Cover. Decorated front and back with a lovely iconic art deco design, the hinged lid opens with a push button. Inside the Cover are the very clear hallmarks for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1927 and Lion Passant Indicating Sterling silver. The silvermaker's marks are also visible: Adie Brothers.

Lovely Cover, very tactile.

Condition: In very good antique condition. There is some slight surface scratching to the silver commensurate with age and we mention for accuracy.

Hallmarks and maker's marks: Birmingham 1927 by Adie Brothers.
