Collection of Royal Monarch Silver Spoons, 1936

1900 - 1920
Description

A collection of British Monarch relayed silver spoons from 1936, including two spoons for King Edward VIII, the king who abdicated before his coronation. The coronation of Edward VIII as King was due to take place at Westminster Abbey on 12 May 1937.

The set comprises two spoons relating to the coronation of King Edward VIII, two spoons relating to the silver jubilee of King Geoege (1910-1935) and one spook relating to the coronation of King George VI (which took place on the same day as the proposed date of Edward VIII, 12 May 1937.

Unfortunately one spoon is missing (the second George VI spoon), and therefore priced accordingly.

A lovely set of spoons, all fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1936.
