Sheffield 1915 Lovely and Unusual Solid Silver Porringer and Spoon in the Original Fitted Case, by Famous Maker Harry Atkin.

Description

Sheffield 1915 English hallmarked solid silver porringer and spoon in the original and beautifully shaped and gilt lined fitted presentation case. Made by famous and collectable maker Harry Atkin.

The bowl has a turned over petal shaped edge and the stem of the large spoon echoes the same design.

Size-bowl 4.25 inches diameter and 2.5 inches high. Spoon-6.25 inches long by 1 3/8 inches wide.

Weight-145 grams alone, 745 grams with case.

All three pieces are lovely, with the silver having very clear hallmarks, and would make a very functional dish for serving sauces or a wonderful Christening or child's gift. With the addition of the original shaped and fitted velvet and satin lined case, usually lost over the years, it makes a very impressive presentation.

A lovely set, by an excellent and very collectable maker, in very good condition.
