Description

George III solid silver ink stand with bright cut engraved decorative border and reeded rim, hallmarked London 1801, standing on four feet. The single cut glass inkwell, with matching bright cut engraved decoration is hallmarked London 1867. The inkwell is a Victorian George III style replacement, it fits perfectly and the engraving and decoration match. It is only that the that hallmarks differ, a very well matched replacement inkwell.

In excellent condition, hallmarks sharp and clear.
