Outstanding Large Silver Vase Sheffield 1935

This silver Vase can only be described as outstanding. Standing 30 cm high and weighing 996 grams it is wonderfully proportioned. The body of the vase is superb with gorgeous lion mask handles that sit just below as protruding circular band. The lovely castellation rim further enhances the appearance of the vase. The body sits on a sturdy and attractive base.

To one side of the vase are very clear crisp hallmarks for the Sheffield Assay Office with a date mark for 1935 and Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver. Maker's marks are also very clear for the silversmith James Dixon & Sons.
