Woodbridge Antiques has dated this piece to the 1940s.
The lovely castellation rim further enhances the appearance of the vase. The body sits on a sturdy and attractive base.

To one side of the vase are very clear crisp hallmarks for the Sheffield Assay Office with a date mark for 1935 and Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver. Maker's marks are also very clear for the silversmith James Dixon & Sons.
