A stunning Victorian silver plated biscuit / cookie jar or box, dating to around 1880.

It stands on three highly decorative ball and claw feet below the integral pierced or reticulated tray or stand. The box has beautiful all over engraved decoration featuring a plethora of Ferns, always popular with the Victorians and as sought-after today.

Excellent condition, measuring 7" tall, with the base diameter measuring 6 1/2" (max) in diameter.
