A Victorian Art Nouveau Silver Match Box Case

A lovely novelty silver match box holder, assayed at the Birmingham Office and dating from the end of the Victorian era. This delightful and unusual collector's piece is in hallmarked silver and has a pierced Art Nouveau pattern to the top. There is a cutaway to the sides to reveal the strikers and the box stands on four ball feet. The inner box is a replacement in the Art Nouveau style. An interesting and usable Victorian collector's item. Dimensions below.
