Fabulous Silver Hen, Duck and Cockerel Egg Cup Birmingham 1939

1920 - 1940
Description

A very special solid silver Egg Cup. The engraving is charming and features a Hen, a Duck and a Cockerel. It stands on one circular foot. Clear hallmarks are visible on one side of the Egg Cup for the Birmingham Assay office with a date mark of 1939 and Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver. The maker's marks are also very clear for the renowned silversmiths: Adie Brothers Ltd.

 

Lovely gift for a baby's christening or Easter.

 

Condition: In lovely antique condition.

 

Hallmarks and maker's marks: Birmingham 1939 by Adie Brothers Ltd.
