Description

A truly superb set of 12 beautifully engraved solid silver teaspoons. The shell engraving to both the front and back of the spoons bowls is exquisite and the spoon terminals are equally splendid. Very clear crisp hallmarks are visible on the back of each spoon bowl for the London Assay Office with a date mark for 1876, Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver and maker's mark for George Adams.

The set comes beautifully presented in the original case, with brown leather exterior and sumptuous purple velvet and satin interior. The case is marked 'Elkington & Co Manchester' (retailer's mark).

This fabulous set oozes all the luxuriance of the Victorian Era.

Wonderful set - would make a perfect gift for a wedding or anniversary!
