This rare solid silver example is beautifully made, with lovely cut glass container, having a star cut base, thumb cut top band, and leaf and diamond cut centre section. It catches the light beautifully, and has an elegant shape.

All parts of the lid are hallmarked, and the hinge is strong and very nicely made.
Size-8 inches high to top of handle by 5.5 inches diameter.
Weight-790 grams.
In remarkable very good condition, this is a really lovely and functional unique solid silver and cut glass piece from the Victorian era. Still used for its original purpose as well as for sweets or whatever one likes.
