Old Sheffield Plate Wine Coolers.

Description

Fine pair of Geo.IV Old Sheffield Plate wine/champagne coolers; of circular campana form on a pedestal foot with a plain lobed body. The borders are of shaped gadroon design and the handsome leaf pattern handles add real presence; the capes at the top are removable as are the liners. The interiors are tin-lined and original; there is a fine motto'd crest to the front cartouche and the rear cartouche is vacant, the motto translates as "for the faith." A really imposing display.
