Victorian Heart-shaped Cribbage Board with Solid Silver Decoration

Description

This is unusual - a heart-shaped cribbage board mounted with solid sterling silver playing cards as decoration.

The mounts are fanned out and the top one has the hallmarks for Birmingham 1900, with the maker's mark for W & Co. The top of the heart is also silver mounted and has italicised initials within a spade shape. The board stands securely on three bun feet and there is a sliding section in the back for pegs. The cover for this is slightly loose but it does hold in place.

Maximum Width: 12.5cm

Height: 2cm.
