Pair of Silver Miniature Candlestick by W Comyns 1891

An absolutely delightful pair of Victorian solid silver, miniature candlesticks. These are a matched pair: one is hallmarked on the candlestick stem for the London Assay Office with a date mark 1891, the other being hallmarked on the circular base for the Birmingham Assay Office also with a date mark for 1891 and both have the silversmith's mark: William Comyns & Son.

 

These miniatures are superb with a beautifully shaped curved stem and pretty daisy style nozzles. The base of each is a lovely pierced design.

 

Wonderful pair in great antique collector's condition.
