Theslightly oval shaed stone measures about 4.5 mm x 4.2 mm x 3.2 mm deep
It is set in a pretty six claw scalloped surround with ornate scrolling detail to the shouders
The beautifully shaped diamond possesses a special charm only found in old cut stones

This late Victorian ring dates to around 1890.
The head stands 4 mm proud of the shank. It weighs 2.5 grams.
It is size M 1/4 (UK), 6 1/2 (US) it would re size.
