Victorian Silver Bon Bon Dish Sheffield 1894

Description

A charming Victorian solid silver Bon Bon Dish. This Dish is iconic Victorian styling , in circular form with very pretty pierced decoration around the sides of the bowl with floral design and a lovely fluted edge. The hallmarks are very clear and visible on one side of the dish for the Sheffield Assay office with a date mark for 1894 along with the Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver and the silvermaker's mark for Fenton Brothers (Samuel Fenton & William Staniforth).

 

Condition: In great antique collector's condition.

 

Hallmarks and maker's marks: Sheffield 1894 by Fenton Brothers.

 

Measurements:

Diameter width: 11 cm approx.

Height: 2.5 cm approx.

Weight: 55.6 grams approx.
