Antique Victorian Sterling Silver Double Inkstand with Candlestick 1857

Description

This is an impressive antique Victorian hallmarked sterling silver inkstand with two glass & silver inkwells and a candlestick in the centre.

It measures 12 1/2" (32 cms) across x 9" (23 cms) x 6" (15 cms) high to the top of the inkwells.

All items are in excellent condition with no damage and show matching hallmarks for Sheffield 1857 with the silversmiths mark for Martin Hall & Co.

The stand has beautiful decoration with no inscriptions or monograms and the cut glass inkwells have hallmarked silver tops.

The stand without the glass inkwells weighs 892 grams and all in all this is a very impressive large instand which would look fabulous on any desk.
