Mitaine has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
This is a lovely antique ring which looks wonderful on the finger and is surrounded by 12 diamonds which are all bright and eye clean and have wonderful fire. The sapphire is a cornflower blue colour and the ring is in good antique condition. It is set in 18ct gold and platinum.

A cabochon sapphire and diamond cluster ring. The oval sapphire cabochon, weighing 1.18cts, with old-cut diamond surround and openwork shoulders. With report 78136-41, dated 5th January 2018, from GCS, stating no heat. Estimated total diamond weight 0.70ct. Ring size O1/2. Weight 3.7gms. The ring is wonderfully delicate, with the cornflower blue sapphire surrounded by the old cuts it is a fine example of a victorian sapphire ring, with no heat treatment to it. The ring is in good condition for age it has a natural inclusion as many cabochon sapphires do which is visible in the image with the light projected behind, this inclusion is not obvious when on the finger. only under a spot light image-but this is a natural sapphire, inclusions occur in natural stones. A beautiful sapphire ring.
