IT'S BODY IS SET WITH A WONDERFUL CEYLON BLUE SAPPHIRE.THE OVAL SAPPHIRE IS 2 MM X 1.5 MM.
EACH WING IS SET WITH FIVE SEED PEARLS & IT HAS LITTLE SEED PEARL EYES.
THE TAIL IS BEAUTIFULLY SCULPTURED IN 9 CARAT GOLD.
THE BAR BROOCH IS 55 MM LONG ( 2 1/8").IT WEIGHS 6 GRAMS.
THIS BROOCH DATES TO THE LATE VICTORIAN PERIOD - AROUND 1900.
THIS GENUINE EDWARDIAN BROOCH COMES COMPLETE WITH ITS ORIGINAL ANTIQUE LEATHER TOOLED PRESENTATION BOX.
Condition notes: Superb original condition.The pearls & Sapphire are in excellent condition.The rear of the brooch has slight discoloring & there are a few scratches. Please study my high resolution photos.One antennae is possibly bent.
