Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: The Silver Cabinet

An excellent set of Victorian solid sterling silver Postal Scales.

They are hallmarked for Birmingham 1899. The maker''s mark is rubbed but the scales carry the same Registration Number as others on the market which confirm the maker to be Henry Williamson. The flat pan to the top holds partial hallmarks. The curved front has an ivorine engraved scale (slightly damaged) over a shaped base.

The silver is in excellent condition. The damage to the ivorine front is reflected in the price.
