Antique Georgian Silver Stilton Scoop with Slider - Pemberton

Description

This is a highly unusual piece: an antique solid sterling silver stilton scoop with a sliding action mechanism for removing the stilton from the spoon.

It is clearly hallmarked on the reverse of the scoop for Birmingham 1814, with the maker's mark of the great Samuel Pemberton.

The bone handle is well-attached and nicely shaped. The sliding action on the mechanism is a little stiff to operate.

Width: 3cm.
