Gertrude Antiques has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The hand painted flowers have been exquisitely executed. All the arrangements of the blooms are different. It has a gilt border on a background of cobalt blue.
Marked verso with (1) Cauldon England, and (2) Maple & Co Ltd, Cauldon Ware London. The old Cauldon works in the Potteries are shown in the accompanying photograph. The famous Coalport china is one of the successors to the Cauldon Potteries. This Cabinet plate gives an indication of the quality of the lineage.
This magnificent cabinet plate will add tremendous lustre to all dinner parties or sideboards.
About the Date of Manufacture: 1920-1932.
