This is unusual - a solid sterling silver photo frame with a quotation from Shakespeare''s Hamlet.
It is a shaped, square outline with heavily embossed floral decoration in the Art Nouveau taste incorporating the quotation in a cartouche at the top. The circular picture aperture has a diameter of 6cm. The frame itself is 11cm sq.
It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1904, with the maker''s mark of Gourdel Vales & Co.
The silver is in excellent condition, apart from wear to one small high spot in the bottom left hand corner.
