Stunning Solid Silver and Enamel Cruet Set, David Andersen

1940 - 1960
Description

This is a beautiful enamel cruet set by the world-famous enamelling firm of David-Andersen, Norway.

The enamel on both pieces is in perfect condition. The mushroom stands are gilded and each has a slightly different hallmark - the yellow mushroom has 'David-Andersen Norway Sterling S25S' and the blue has 'D-A S925S' and the company mark. The bases have the original, well-fitted plastic stoppers.

I gather from my research that they probably date to the 1960s, but I can't be sure of that date.

Dimensions:

Height: 5.25cm

Diameter: 3cm.

Post and packaging are free within the UK via Royal Mail special delivery. Overseas buyers please e-mail for postage costs. Thank you.

Please note: payment by credit or debit card can be made by pressing the ‘pay now’ button on the item page - A PayPal account is not needed.

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.
