Superb Art Deco Silver Toast Rack Birmingham 1934

1920 - 1940
Description

What could only be described as a truly superb solid silver Toast Rack. The design is superb and iconic Art Deco - from the wonderfully curvilinear compartments (5 in all) to the stylish geometrically shaped handle and feet! Very clear hallmarks are visible on the frame at the base for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1934 and clear silvermaker's marks for Ch. Green & Co, along with the Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver.

 

An extremely outstanding Art Deco piece, wonderful for a Collector! A good solid heavy gauge silver!

 

Condition: In great antique collector's condition!

 

Hallmarks and maker's marks: Birmingham 1934 by Ch. Green & Co.
