Silver Mounted Fruit Wood Pepper Mill London 1900

Description

A most attractive Victorian Pepper or Spice Mill. Made from a richly coloured fruit wood, this very stylish Mill is enhanced by wonderful silver banding around the circumference, each of the bands is hallmarked for the London Assay Office with a date mark for 1900 and maker's mark: Lt. B (see images) and a silver screw top for opening. The steel grinder at the bottom is signed 'Parkgreen & Co Ltd, Made in England' (renowned for their reliable grinders).

A superb antique item in wonderful antique condition and working order.

 

Hallmarks: London 1900

 

Condition: In great antique collector's condition.

 

Measurements:

Height: 8.4 cm approx.

Diameter width at widest part: 4.7 cm approx.
