An antique 1882 silver Waltham pocket watch.

The watch has a key-wound movement which is working nicely. ( A winding key is included )The movement is the Home Watch Co grade and the serial number 1935752 tells us that it was made between November 1882 and February 1883. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 52mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop. The case is silver and has Birmingham hallmarks for 1882 with a maker’s mark for Alfred Bedford, the manager of the London branch of Waltham. . The back of the case has light surface marking from use and a few small "dings" to the back, the engine turned detail in the back has wear from use but overall it is in nice condition for an 1880s piece.

The acrylic lens is in nice condition.

The enamel dial has a faint hairline crack between 11 & 2 o'clock although hardly noticeable to the naked eye.

The watch has blued steel hands.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
